About Surya Granite – Building & Construction Material in Rajahmundry
Down here on Kesavaram Road in Punyakshetram, things stay pretty steady. We are at 4-11-87, which is easy enough to find if you are looking for it. The yard is usually full of granite slabs that we get from the quarries. It is a lot of heavy work, so we are usually tired by the end of the day. There is no air conditioning in the main area, so we just keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through Punyakshetram. We have been here for a good amount of time and most of the locals know where we are. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing fancy things. Most of the day is spent checking the stones for cracks or showing people what would look good in a kitchen. The road gets a bit noisy with the trucks going past, but you get used to it after a week or two. My brother usually handles the customers while I stay in the back with the stock. We have a small kettle for tea that runs almost all day. It is a simple setup and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. Just a lot of stone and a lot of lifting. If you walk in, you might have to wait a minute if we are out back moving something heavy with the crane. That is just how the day goes for us.
