Sri Vasu Marbles

Our shop is located at 23-16-22/2 in Lalitha Nagar, specifically on 5th Street. It is a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part, but we have our marble business tucked in there. We have been here for years, and most of the people on the street know us. We don’t have a massive warehouse, just a decent-sized space where we keep our marble and stone. It is a very local operation. I usually open up the shutters early in the morning and sweep the front before anyone arrives. We have a lot of regular customers who come back when they are doing repairs or adding on to their homes. It is a simple setup with some racks for the slabs and a small desk where I keep the books. We don't have any fancy brochures or big signs. Most of our work comes from just being a steady presence in Lalitha Nagar. Sometimes it is hard to get the big delivery trucks down the smaller streets, but we have figured out the best times to avoid the traffic. We handle the stone carefully because we know how much it costs the homeowners. It is just me and a helper most days. We talk to the customers, show them the patterns in the marble, and tell them how it needs to be cut. It is a small life, but it works for us and keeps the bills paid.
