If you look behind the Mata temple in the Geraj area of Pandri, you’ll find us at Jagdamba Bhawan. This is where Maruti Toys is tucked away. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re new to the area, but the locals know where the temple is. Our space is usually filled with boxes of all sizes. Since we deal with toys, there is always something being moved around or unpacked. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have those bright neon signs or a huge marketing budget. We just have a shop floor and a back room that's usually overflowing. The building itself, Jagdamba Bhawan, has its own character. It’s an older place, and you can feel the history of the neighborhood around it. During festival times, it gets very crowded on this street. We spend our mornings checking the stock and the afternoons helping whoever drops by. It's a simple operation. We aren't trying to be a global giant. We just like toys and we like being in Pandri. Some days the humidity makes the cardboard boxes go a bit soft, so we have to be careful. It’s just a regular job for us. We drink a lot of tea and wait for the delivery trucks to show up. It's not a polished corporate office, but it's where we work every day. Sometimes it’s chaotic with so much stock, but we eventually find what we need.
