This office is actually inside an apartment building, so it feels very much like a residential setup. We know the neighbors, and they know us. Heidelberg Cement Group, India uses this space to handle a lot of the local coordination for the region. It isn’t like those big glass towers you see in Mumbai. It’s just a flat with some desks and cabinets shoved into the rooms. We have a balcony where we can see the street below. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic from Sector-9, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. We just need a place to work and keep our files organized. The kitchen is always full of tiffin boxes around noon. We talk about the local news or the weather while we eat. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of environment. People stop by sometimes just to drop off papers. We handle whatever comes our way and try to keep things moving. It’s a practical setup for a practical job. We just do our work and head home.
