Ruchi Caterers

Ruchi Caterers is based out of Shop No 12 on the ground floor of Punit Park, specifically in the A-4-01 wing. Being on the ground floor is a huge help because we are always hauling heavy crates and sacks of rice in and out. Punit Park is a residential complex, so we have neighbors living right above us. We try to be quiet in the early hours, but it’s hard when you’re moving metal pots around. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the square footage we have. Every morning follows the same pattern: unlock the gate, turn on the lights, and start the burners. There’s a certain rhythm to the work here. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor; it's mostly just stainless steel and prep tables. The floor is easy to wash down at the end of a long shift, which is good because things get messy fast. We get our supplies delivered right to the door of Shop 12, which saves us from carrying things across the parking lot. Living and working in a place like Punit Park means you see the same faces every day, from the security guards to the people walking their dogs. It feels like a small community, and we are just one of the businesses tucked into the bottom of the building, keeping busy with our daily cooking and cleaning tasks until it’s time to lock up again.
