Down the road toward Murud Janjira, things slow down a lot. Prakruti Resorts Ltd. is located in Kashid Village, which is the kind of place where you mostly hear the wind in the trees and not much else. Our address is P.O. Kashid, and we are right on that long stretch of road 402401. The resort has been sitting here for years, watching the seasons change. We have some gardens that need a lot of watering in the summer. The staff walks in from the nearby village every morning. It isn't a high-rise building with glass elevators. It is more like a group of houses spread out on the land. Sometimes the monkeys come around and look for snacks, which can be a bit of a bother. We spend our time fixing fences and making sure the paths are clear of leaves. The beach isn't far, so you get that heavy air that makes you want to nap in the afternoon. People drive down from the city and they look tired when they get here. By the time they leave, they usually look a bit more rested. We just provide the keys and the space. There is no big show here. It is just the village, the road, and the sea nearby. There is a lot of grass to cut and the salt air peels the paint.
