We are based out in Chinchawali, near Khopoli in the Raigad district. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but we are used to the long commute through Shilfata by now. The area is much greener and more open than the city, which is a nice change of pace for the lungs. Our office is located right in the village area of Shekin. It’s a functional building meant for work, nothing designed for show or attracting attention. We deal with a lot of dust because of the industrial activity in the Taluka, so we are always cleaning the desks and computers. The pace of life here is a bit different; it’s not as rushed as Mumbai, but there’s still plenty of work to keep us busy. We have a small crew that manages the site and handles the administrative side of things from this office. Most of the people here are from the nearby villages, so there’s a real local feel to how we operate every day. We don’t have high-speed elevators or fancy lunchrooms with catering. We usually just sit outside in the shade during our afternoon breaks if the weather is decent enough. It’s a practical place for a company like ours. We focus on the daily chores and keeping the records straight for everyone. It’s quiet, it’s out of the way, and it suits the kind of work we do perfectly. We just keep our heads down and get through the week.
