About Jsw Ispat Dolvi – Metals & Minerals in Raigad
We work out of the 7th floor of the Nirmal building in Nariman Point. Even though the actual steel plant is down in Dolvi, this is where a lot of the planning and the office work happens. Nariman Point is a famous area, but for us, it’s just where we come to work every day. The view of the sea from the higher floors is decent, but usually, we’re too busy with spreadsheets and phone calls to look out the window much. We handle a lot of the logistics and management for the steel operations. It’s a big operation, but in this office, it’s just a group of people at their desks trying to keep everything organized. The lifts in Nirmal can be slow during the lunch rush, so we usually try to head out a bit early or just bring our own food. Being in such a central part of Mumbai means there’s always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. We don’t really have a lot of time for corporate speak; there’s too much work to do for that. We focus on the numbers and making sure the supplies are moving to where they need to be. It’s a steady kind of job that requires a lot of attention to detail. We’ve been in this building for quite some time, and while the office might look a bit lived-in, it’s a good place to get things done.
