Our office is over in Panvel, specifically at Enkay Heritage on Railway Station Road. We’re in flat 102-E on the first floor. Being so close to the railway station means we hear the trains all day, but it’s a great spot for getting around Raigarh. Kayos Information Security is basically a small team of us who deal with digital safety and data. It sounds high-tech, and it is, but our office looks like any other local workplace. We have a lot of servers humming away and more cables than we probably need. We chose this spot because it's easy for us to get to and for people to find us. We aren't a big corporate entity with a lobby. You just ring the bell at 102 and come in. We spend a lot of time looking at code and security logs. It’s quiet work, mostly. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a problem to solve, watching the lights of Panvel from the window. The neighborhood is always moving, with people heading to the station. We’ve been here for a while and the routine suits us. We don’t use a lot of jargon when we talk to people; we just try to explain what needs to be done to keep things safe. It’s a small operation, but we take the work seriously. There’s always a fresh pot of tea going, especially during those long afternoon stretches.
