About Kalbere Rice Mills – Food & Beverages in Raigad
Our mill, Kalbere Rice Mills, is tucked away in Village Tala. It is a quiet spot most of the time, right near the Ramshoere Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple while we are working. Being in Taluka Tala means we are right in the middle of where the rice is grown. The building is not new, it has seen a lot of seasons, but it does what it is supposed to do. We spend our mornings getting the machinery ready and the afternoons are usually spent moving heavy bags around. It is hard work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the day. The road out here is not the best, especially when it rains and things get muddy, but the farmers still bring their tractors through. We do not use any big computers or fancy systems, just our hands and some old scales. Most people in the village know us as the place near the temple where the air smells like husks. Sometimes we stop for tea at the small stall down the lane when things get a bit slow. It is a simple life here in Tala. We do not try to be something we are not. We just mill the rice that comes our way and try to keep everything moving. If you are looking for us, just head towards the Ramshoere Mandir and you will see the gates. It is a very local business, mostly just family and a few helpers from around the village.
