Ispat Industries Ltd.

Ispat Industries Ltd. has a place out here in Alibag, which is in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. We are at Plot No-6 in the Dwarika Housing Society. It’s in Gokul Nagar, right by the Bypass Road in Chendhare. The pin code is 402201. Being in Alibag is a bit different from being in the middle of a city like Mumbai. It’s a bit slower and the air feels a little different, especially with the coast being so nearby. The office is part of a housing society, so it’s usually very quiet during the day. We don’t get much walk-in traffic, which is fine by us. We mostly deal with phone calls and mail that comes through the society gate. The building is a simple structure on the plot. We have a small garden area outside that someone tries to look after, though the weeds usually grow faster than the flowers. Inside, it’s just a regular office setup. We have a few cupboards for our documents and a table where we sit and talk. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always humming in the background while we work. We’ve been here in Chendhare for a good while. Most of the people who work here live just a short walk or bike ride away. It’s a very local operation and we like the fact that we stay busy without all the stress of the big city.
