Our place is located over in Palaspatal, which is a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main part of Panvel. The Raigad heat is no joke, especially in the middle of the day, so we’re thankful for the fans in our office. We are situated in Palaspa, and it’s a fairly busy area with trucks and cars heading out toward the highway all the time. It’s a grounded kind of place. We don’t have a big sign out front or anything, just our small spot where we handle the advisory work. Most of the time, the air is a little dusty because of the roads nearby, but that’s just how it is around here in Maharashtra. Inside, it’s pretty simple. We have a couple of old cupboards for the files and some chairs that have seen better days. We usually eat our lunch together at the big table in the back. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just sit and wait or talk until it comes back on. It’s not the kind of office you see in movies. It’s just where we go to earn a living and help people with their business bits. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood, the local tea stall guy, and the sound of the rain hitting the roof during the monsoon. It feels like home after all these years.
