Devashree Foods

Devashree Foods is based out in the Shilphati GIDC Estate. Being in an industrial zone like GIDC means everything is built for function. Our facility is geared towards food processing, so we spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is up to standard. It’s a lot of stainless steel and hairnets around here. The smell changes depending on what we're making that day—sometimes it's sweet, other times it's more savory. We have a small team of local workers who come in every morning. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just focus on getting the food packaged and sent out to the shops. The trucks come in and out of the estate all day long, and the noise of the machinery is something we don't even notice anymore. It gets quite humid inside during the monsoon, but we have fans going constantly. We started small and just kept at it, year after year. The Shilphati area is a bit out of the way, but it suits us fine. There’s a canteen nearby where we grab lunch most days. It’s a straightforward life here. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just making products that people want to buy. The floor is usually wet from the constant cleaning, and the lights are bright. That’s our daily reality at the GIDC, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
