Aarush Dal Mill

Aarush Dal Mill is located in the Mangaon MIDC area. We are situated quite close to the Dena Bank, which is a useful landmark for people trying to find us. Being in an MIDC zone means there is always a lot of industrial activity around. The mill stays busy with the sound of the machines processing the pulses. There is a constant hum in the air and the smell of raw dal is everywhere. It’s a dusty job and the floor is usually covered in a fine powder by the end of the shift. We have a small team of workers who know the rhythm of the place. We don’t have a fancy front office or a receptionist. If someone comes by, they usually just walk up to the main gate and shout for one of us. We spend most of the day monitoring the hoppers and making sure the bags are filled correctly. The heat in Mangaon can be quite intense inside the mill building, so we keep the big doors open for whatever breeze we can get. We’ve been here for a while and the bank staff across the way know us well. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t go for anything complicated. We just process the loads as they come in and keep the machinery greased and running. It’s hard work but it’s what we do. Often we are still loading bags onto the trucks as the sun starts to go down.
