Meghana Cement Works

We have been here in Lingasugur for quite a long time now, situated right across from the Vijaya Mahanteshwara Matha. It is a busy spot but it really works for us. Meghana Cement Works is mostly just about keeping things moving with cement and concrete supplies. People stop by 869/13 when they have a build going on or just need a few bags for a small job at home. It is a dusty job, honestly. My clothes usually have some white powder on them by noon every single day. We do not have a big office or anything fancy, just the yard and the storage area. Some days it is quiet and other days we have trucks coming in and out all morning. We try to keep the stock levels right so nobody gets stuck waiting. If you are coming from the main road, you cannot really miss us once you see the Matha. The gate is usually open unless it is raining hard. We handle the heavy lifting and the loading mostly by hand or with the small hoist we have. It isn't much to look at, but we get the orders out. Sometimes the phone rings and sometimes people just walk in off the street. We have known some of the contractors around here for years. They know where to find us. It is just how we run things, keeping it simple and making sure the supplies are where they need to be when the trucks arrive at the gate.
