Millia Convent English School

Millia Convent English School is located over in Khazanchi Hat, which is a busy part of Purnia. If you know the area, you know how much traffic there is, but we’ve got our spot here in 854301. The school isn't some brand-new glass building. It’s more of a lived-in place with some character. We have several classrooms spread out and a bit of a yard where kids can breathe. Every morning is the same routine with the gates opening and the staff arriving on their bikes. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized. There’s always a door that needs oiling or a window that needs a quick fix. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy talk here. It’s just a school. The teachers are usually busy with their lesson plans and we spend our time in the office dealing with the daily grind. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just open the windows to let the air in. Purnia can get quite humid, so we do what we can to keep the rooms comfortable for the students. People from around Khazanchi Hat come by to talk about their kids' progress or just to ask questions. It’s a community kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. We’ve been here a while and the building shows it, but it works for us and the families who come here. We just keep doing what we've been doing without making a big deal of it.
