Navajyoti Junior Science College

Navajyoti Junior Science College is located in Sisilo, which is part of Khurda. It’s a bit of a specific kind of place because we focus so much on science. Most of our students are teenagers who are starting to think seriously about what they want to do later in life. The atmosphere is a bit different here compared to a general school. You’ll often see students huddled over textbooks or talking about their lab work. Our building isn't anything fancy, just a solid place where we can keep our equipment and have our classes. We’re right in the local area, so it’s easy for people from around Khurda to reach us. It can get pretty intense during exam season, with everyone looking a bit tired but still pushing through. We try to keep things grounded. The staff knows the subjects well and they spend a lot of time explaining things over and over until the students get it. We have our labs and our classrooms, and we just try to make the most of the space we have. It’s a practical environment. There isn't much room for fluff or unnecessary things. We just want the students to learn their science and get their results. That’s the main thing that happens within these walls every day. We also have a small area where students can sit and eat their lunch while they talk about their next big test. It helps them relax for a bit before going back to the books.
