You can find Maayer Ashirbad Agro Private Limited over in Vill-Dhakuria, which is in the Gaighata area. We operate out of Shyamal Ghosh’s place. It’s a pretty simple setup we’ve got here. We deal with agro products and everything that comes with that. Being in Gaighata, we are surrounded by a lot of farming, so it makes sense for us to be located here. We aren't some big, polished company with a lot of rules and corporate talk. It’s mostly just Shyamal and a few of us handling the daily tasks. We spend our time talking to local producers and figuring out the best way to get things to market. The village is a good place to be because you actually know the people you are working with. Sometimes we sit outside and talk about the business, and other times we are stuck inside with the paperwork. It’s not always exciting, but it’s honest work. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People in the village and the surrounding areas just know us by name. We named it Maayer Ashirbad because it felt right for a local business. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the agro side of things is moving along. If you are ever in Dhakuria, you’ll likely see us around, just doing what we do. It’s a plain and simple business, and we like it that way. We've been around for a while now and plan to stay.
