Paranchak Siksha Niketan School

Down in Chaitanyapur, in the Sutahata area of Haldia, you’ll find Paranchak Siksha Niketan School. We’ve been here for a good while, serving the local families around this part of West Bengal. It’s a simple school, really. We have our classrooms and a playground where the kids spend their breaks. Being in Haldia, it can get quite humid, so we try to keep the rooms as airy as possible. The day starts early with the sound of the bell. We don’t have a lot of high-tech equipment, just the standard blackboards and benches. Our staff is mostly from the surrounding areas, so they understand the kids well. We spend a lot of time on the basics, making sure the children learn their languages and math properly. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except during lunch or when school lets out. We don’t use flashy marketing. Most of our students live within walking distance or take a short rickshaw ride. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids behave themselves. Sometimes we have little programs for the holidays, which the kids enjoy. It’s just a regular local school trying to help the neighborhood children get an education. We work hard, keep the place running, and watch the kids grow up year after year. It isn't always easy keeping things organized, but we do what we can with what we have here.
