Meera Spice

Meera Spice is based out of Durgapur in the West Burdwan district. We have been here for a while, working out of a modest space that suits our needs. It isn't a high-tech facility, just a place where we process and pack spices. Durgapur is a busy industrial area, but we keep our operation simple. We focus on the basics. Every morning we open up and check the stock. We spend a lot of time grinding and mixing. You can smell the cumin and black pepper from the street sometimes. We don't have a corporate ladder or many departments. It's just a few of us making sure everything is handled properly. We don't put out shiny brochures or use complicated slogans. We just sell our spices to people who need them for their cooking. The weather in West Burdwan can get quite hot, so we try to get the heavy work done before noon. Our equipment is old but we keep it clean and it still works fine. We don't feel the need to upgrade to the newest things if the current ones do the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big office. We just want to provide what we say we will. It’s a steady, quiet kind of business. We like it that way and the neighbors seem to like having us here in our corner of the city area and that keeps us going every day.
