Chowdhury & Sons

Chowdhury & Sons has been part of the City Center area in Burdwan for a long time. Our place is on Alauddin Khan Bithy, which can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with the district. It’s a family thing, really. You’ll usually find one of the sons or the older folks around the shop most days. We don't have a lot of space, but we make it work with what we have. The walls have some old photos and the shelves are pretty packed with stuff we’ve collected over the years. City Center is always moving, so there is always noise coming in from the street. It’s not like those quiet offices you see in movies. It’s real and a bit messy sometimes. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing. We don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that because most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from someone else in town. It’s a simple way to do things. We like being in Burdwan because the people are straightforward. When you come into our office, you just see us working. There aren't any receptionists or big waiting rooms. Just a place to sit and talk about what you need. It’s been this way for a while, and we like the routine of it all. We just take things one day at a time here and let the work happen naturally.
