Little Hand Play School

This little spot is right in ABL Township. It’s a quiet enough area near Nibedita Park, which is nice for when the weather is good. We started Little Hand Play School just for the toddlers and young kids around Durgapur. The rooms are filled with toys and small chairs that we have to straighten up every single afternoon. It gets pretty loud when the kids arrive in the morning. Parents usually walk over since they live in the township or just nearby. We have painted some things on the walls to make it look bright, though some of it is peeling a bit now. Our day starts early with putting out the mats. You see a lot of small shoes piled up by the door. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who live close by. Sometimes the kids get cranky before nap time and we have to manage that. It’s a lot of snacks and spilled juice on most days. We keep some extra clothes in the cupboards just in case of accidents. The park nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. It’s just a normal play school where we spend the day keeping the little ones busy. It’s tiring work but being here in this part of Durgapur feels comfortable. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the children being safe while their parents are at work.
