Holly Angels School

Up in the Ghosha area of Katwa, things are usually a bit quieter than the main market, which is where we are located. Our school has been part of this little community for a while now. If you walk past, you will see the kids playing in whatever space we can find or sitting in the classrooms doing their work. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is just a simple building with desks, chairs, and teachers who have been doing this for years. The routine is the same every day: we open up early, the students arrive, and we get through the lessons one by one. Sometimes the rain makes it hard for everyone to get here on time, especially with the roads in this part of Katwa being what they are. We just deal with those things as they come. The people who work here aren't from some big city; they are locals who understand what life is like in Ghosha. We don't make big promises or use fancy words to describe what we do. It is just a school where we try to get the basics right. Parents come by to talk about their kids, and we give them the straight story without any fluff. It is a practical place for practical people. Most days are just about finishing the curriculum and making sure the kids go home safe.
