Grand Masala

Down in Sasti Nagar, in the Ismail area, is where you will find Grand Masala. We are located right near the Homeopathy Medical College in West Burdwan district. It’s a bit quieter out here compared to the big cities, but we still keep our hands full. The village atmosphere is nice, and you can see the students from the medical college walking by during their breaks. We work out of a simple building where we process our masalas. It’s a manual kind of life, checking the seeds and the dried pods before anything happens. We don’t use a lot of high-tech stuff; it’s more about knowing what looks right. The weather in West Burdwan can get pretty intense, so we have to make sure everything stays dry and cool inside. It’s just a few of us here, and we usually have the radio on while we work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the stuff we produce in Ismail is decent. Sometimes the neighbors stop by for a chat, and that’s just the way it is in a place like this. We finish our work, lock up the gate, and go home to our families. It’s a steady routine that hasn't changed much over the years, and we like it that way. It's just simple people doing some honest work every single day.
