Our office is on the third floor of Gire Chambers, which is right on Tilak Road near Hirabaug. If you know the area, we’re right in front of the Bank of India in Shukrawar Peth. It’s a busy part of town, especially with the Tilak Ward office right across from us. We’ve got a good spot here at Survey No 1042. The building itself is older but it’s sturdy and has plenty of space for our files. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever work comes across our desks. It’s a lot of consulting and looking over documents for our associates. The stairs up to the third floor can be a bit of a workout if the lift isn't working right. Tilak Road is always packed with cars and bikes, so there is a constant hum of engines outside. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of typing or someone talking on the phone. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just have our desks, some bookshelves full of old records, and a place for people to sit when they come in. It’s a practical office for practical work. Most people who come to see us are from the local area or have business with the nearby offices. We’ve been here long enough that we know the guys at the shops downstairs. It’s a decent way to spend the day, just keeping things organized and helping out where we can. The fan makes a little clicking noise when it is on high.
