V R Gupta

V R Gupta is located right on Nikol Naroda Road, inside the Krishna Vihar Society area at number 364. Being near Market Yard means there is never a quiet moment. The road outside is always full of rickshaws and motorbikes zipping past. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for people in the society. It’s not a very big space, and we often have boxes stacked up near the entrance because the storage room stays full. We handle a variety of items, mostly whatever the local market needs that day. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything like that. People usually come to V R Gupta because we've been here for a long time. The shop has that smell of old paper and tea because we drink a lot of it throughout the day. The windows get dirty from the road dust every single day, so we’ve given up on keeping them perfectly clean. We just focus on the work at hand. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or complain about the traffic on Naroda Road. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have any big plans to change, we just like keeping the shop running and being part of the daily life here in the society. It’s just a regular place for regular people to get their business done.
