Unik Laboratories

Unik Laboratories is located at 695 Sadashiv Peth, right inside the Chandravati Chambers. We are directly opposite Chitale Sadan, so it’s a very easy place to find if you know the area. The office is up a few flights of stairs and it’s usually quite quiet compared to the street outside. Inside, we have a lot of glass equipment and white surfaces that we try to keep as clean as possible. There are stacks of paperwork and reports on the desks because that’s just how it goes with lab work. It isn't a huge space, but we have organized it so everything fits, from the testing equipment to the small waiting area near the door. The building itself is quite traditional for Sadashiv Peth and it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper. We spend most of our hours looking at samples and writing down numbers. Sometimes the bells from the nearby temples or the noise from the crowd at Chitale Sadan drifts up to our windows. We have a small team here and we mostly just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a steady kind of work and we’ve been based in these chambers for years now. The lighting is bright and white inside, which is a big change from the narrow streets of the Peth outside. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as it comes.
