Being in Kolhapur, we have a very local way of doing things at Tata Motors. The office is situated in a colony that is mostly houses, so it’s not too noisy during the workday. We have a simple desk setup and a lot of filing cabinets because there is always a lot of documentation to deal with. Our team is small, just a handful of us who have known each other for quite a while. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that; we just focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and chat until it comes back on. That is just how it is here. The walk to the main road isn't too far if we need to grab something to eat for lunch. We keep things pretty informal. Most of the time, we are just dressed in casual clothes, working through our lists and making sure everything is where it should be. It is a steady, practical kind of place. We don't try to impress anyone with fancy furniture. As long as the chairs are comfortable and the internet works, we are happy enough to get through the day's work.
