We operate out of Chakan Wheelers Road. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty dusty with all the vehicles moving around. Our main thing is getting water to people who need it. We have the trucks and the drivers who know these roads better than anyone else. It is not an easy job because the traffic around Chakan can be unpredictable. Sometimes the roads are clear and other times you are stuck for an hour just trying to turn a corner. We spend most of our day on the phone or checking the schedules for the deliveries. The office isn't much to look at, just a place to park the tankers and keep the keys. We started doing this because we saw there was a lot of demand in this part of town. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights, especially when the weather gets hot and everyone is asking for a refill at the same time. We don't have a big team, just a few reliable guys who show up and get the tankers moving. Usually, there is a lot of shouting back and forth over the noise of the engines. We just try to keep the tanks clean and the deliveries on time as much as the roads allow. It is basic work but it keeps us busy from Monday to Sunday most weeks. We have a small bench outside where the drivers sit while they wait for their turn to fill up.
