Standard Leather Works

Our shop is located on Karve Road, which is one of those streets that never really seems to go to sleep. There’s always the sound of horns and engines in the background while we’re working on the leather goods. We have a fairly basic setup here with a few sturdy tables and a lot of different hides stacked up in the corner. Some of the leather is thick and tough, while other pieces are soft, and you can spend all day just sorting through the piles to find the right one. We don't really have a sales team or anything like that, just a couple of us who know how to handle the material. The air in here is thick with the smell of the hides and the oil we use to keep things supple. Sometimes we get a bit of rain coming in under the front door when there’s a big storm, so we have to keep everything off the floor on wooden pallets to keep it dry. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting the heavy rolls and spending hours on our feet, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have a website or anything fancy, we just rely on people seeing the shop when they’re stuck in traffic on Karve Road. It’s a straightforward business without any bells and whistles, and we try to keep it as simple as possible for anyone who walks in.
