Somdatta Patwardhan

My name is Somdatta Patwardhan and I have my office on the 2nd floor of the Jivan Darshan Building. We are located at 17-43/129 Warje Malwadi. It is very easy to find because we are right near the LIC Building, which everyone in the area knows. I’ve been in this building for quite a few years now. The climb up to the second floor is easy, and I like being a bit above the street noise. Warje Malwadi is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there is always a lot going on. From my window, I can see the people going in and out of the LIC office all day. My space is pretty basic. I have a couple of desks, some filing cabinets that are getting too full, and a small area for guests to sit. It’s a quiet place to get work done. I mostly handle things on my own, but occasionally I have someone help with the chores. The building is older, so the walls have some marks and the windows rattle a bit when a big truck goes by on the main road. I don't mind it. It feels like home to me now. I start my day with a cup of tea and a look at my list of things to do. Most of my visitors are regulars who have been coming to see me for years. We talk about the neighborhood as much as we talk about business.
