Shri Ganesh Cycle Mart

Shri Ganesh Cycle Mart has been a fixture in New Sangvi for a long time. It’s a small shop, but we pack it full of bicycles of all shapes and sizes. You’ll see them lined up on the sidewalk every morning when we open the shutters. We don't just sell bikes; we spend a lot of time fixing them too. There is usually grease on our hands and a few spare tires hanging from the ceiling. It’s a noisy, busy little place, especially on weekends when the kids bring in their flat tires or broken chains. New Sangvi is a good neighborhood for a cycle shop because people still like to ride around here for errands. We don't have any fancy sales tactics or marketing. If a bike fits you and it’s in your budget, that’s what we suggest. We use old-fashioned tools and a lot of elbow grease to get things moving. The shop floor is always a bit messy with metal scraps and bits of rubber, but we know where every nut and bolt is kept. We’ve seen kids grow up, starting with their first tricycle and coming back years later for a mountain bike for college. It’s a nice feeling to be part of the community like that. We don't have a computer system to track everything; we just know what’s in the back. It’s a simple shop for simple people. We just keep the wheels turning.
