Our office is located in Shivaji Nagar, specifically in the Lokmanya Tilak Area on Lane No 3. It’s a relatively quiet street compared to the main roads nearby. The building is an older one, so it has that solid, lived-in feel to it. Inside, the space is divided up with some simple partitions to give everyone a bit of their own area. We have a lot of shelves that are mostly packed with old records and reference books. The desks are the heavy wooden kind that have been around for years. We usually get in early to beat the heat, and the first thing we do is open up all the windows to get some air moving. There’s a small shop nearby where we get our morning snacks. The work we do involves a lot of concentration, so it’s often quite silent in here, except for the tapping of keyboards or someone flipping through pages. We don't really do much in the way of decoration; there might be a calendar on the wall and a few plants that someone remembers to water once in a while. It’s a steady place to work. People know they can find us here during the usual hours. We handle our tasks one by one and don't try to rush things more than they need to be. It’s a practical, everyday sort of office life where we just get things done.
