Santosh Trader

We are based in Someshvar Nivas, which is right near the Hanuman Temple. It’s at Panchavati Naka in Wada, which is out in the Palghar district. You can hear the temple bells ringing loudly every morning and evening. It’s a nice and peaceful sound to work to. The shop is basically one big room where we store all our trade goods. We are Santosh Trader, and we’ve been in this exact spot for a while now. The road at Panchavati Naka is always busy with people traveling through the Wada area. We get a lot of dust blowing inside because of all the truck traffic. We spend a lot of time every morning sweeping it all out. We have a simple wooden desk near the front where we do the billing. It’s mostly cash transactions for us here. We know the local farmers and the other traders in the Palghar district. We don't have any big mission or anything; we just sell what we have in stock and buy what we need. The building is painted a light yellow color, but it’s getting a bit faded from the hot sun. Palghar is a bit far from the main city, so things tend to move a little slower here. We like it that way. We have a small radio that plays local songs while we do our work. It’s a basic life, and we are happy just being part of the community here near the temple.
