Samarth Collection

Our shop is tucked away on 9th B Main in New Town, right in the Model Colony area. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main markets, which is nice for us. We have racks and racks of clothes squeezed into the space. Most mornings start with us folding things that got messed up the day before. People from around the colony stop in when they are walking their dogs or going to the store. We try to keep a bit of everything, so the shelves are usually pretty full. Sometimes the lighting isn't the brightest, but you can see the colors well enough. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It’s funny how you get used to the same customers coming in every month. We hear a lot of stories about what is happening in the neighborhood. The New Town area has changed a lot, but we are still here in the same spot. We spend a lot of time rearranging the hangers so things look halfway decent. It isn't a huge mall or anything, just a local shop where you can find a shirt or some trousers without much fuss. We open up early and stay until the street lights come on. It’s just how we run things here. There is always something to tidy up or a new box to unpack. The tea seller usually stops by around four, which is a nice break. We just keep things moving day by day.
