We are over at 18 Ishadan Society, in the Pitruchhaya building on Paud Road. Kothrud is always a bit crowded, especially near the bus depot. Being inside a residential society makes things a bit quieter than being right on the main road, which we all appreciate during the day. The office is basically a converted room that fits what we need. There is a lot of paper stacked around and some old computers in the corner that we have not moved in years. People in the society know us well, and we see the same faces every morning when we arrive. Paud Road is right there, so we can hear the buses from the depot clearly if the windows are open. It is a simple setup. We have a couple of desks, some mismatched chairs, and a very slow lift that we usually avoid by taking the stairs instead. It is not the kind of place you would find in a high-rise building. It feels more like a home office that grew a bit too big for its own good. We spend our time answering emails and looking at screens. Usually, someone brings in some snacks from the shop around the corner in the late afternoon. It is a steady routine in a familiar neighborhood. We like being in Kothrud because everything is close by, even if the traffic during peak hours is a headache. It is just our corner.
