Sai Bricks

Our place is Building No. 148 in Surajpur. If you find Mamas Hotel, you are basically there. It's a busy little area with a lot of noise from the street. We spend most of our days dealing with bricks. There is red dust everywhere, which is just how it goes in this business. We have a small team here. Some days are busier than others depending on what construction is happening nearby in the neighborhood. We don't have a big fancy office, just a desk and some old chairs where we handle the orders. People stop by to ask about prices or to see when the next batch of bricks will be ready to go. The kiln takes up a lot of space and stays hot all day and night. Sometimes the rain messes with our schedule, so we have to cover everything up quickly with plastic sheets. It's hard work, but it's what we do. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. You can usually hear the sound of the trucks coming in and out from the main road. The workers take their breaks together under the shade when it gets too hot in the afternoon. We try to keep things organized, though with so many bricks, it gets cluttered sometimes. Most of our neighbors know us by now. It’s just a normal day-to-day life here in Surajpur. We don’t really do much advertising. People just find us or hear about us from someone else who bought bricks here before. We just focus on the stack in front of us.
