S Kumar Srevices is based at 309 Tilak Road, right in the heart of the Motor Market. If you know where Hotel Durwankur is, we’re just a short walk from there. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of noise from the cars and shops nearby. We’ve been working out of this spot for years. The shop isn’t the cleanest place in the world, mostly because we’re always working with our hands. We have tools scattered around and parts sitting on the shelves. It’s a real working environment, not a showroom. We don’t use big words or try to act like we’re something we aren’t. People come to us because they know we’re here and we’ve been here. There’s no big management team, just a few of us getting the jobs done. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and other times we close up a bit early if it’s quiet. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it suits us just fine.
