I opened Gajanan Computer Sales And Services because I always liked fixing things. We are in Wing A of Arjun Park, which is in the Warje-Malwadi area. It’s a bit tucked away but people seem to find their way here when their laptops start acting up. The shop is usually full of spare parts, keyboards, and monitors waiting to be looked at. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough shelf space for everything. I spend a lot of my time cleaning dust out of fans or trying to figure out why a motherboard isn't working. It’s quiet work mostly, unless the soldering iron is going. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets crowded. We sell some new parts too, but a lot of people just want their old machines to last a bit longer. Warje-Malwadi has changed a lot since we first came to Arjun Park. More traffic and more buildings now. We have a small bench outside where customers wait if the shop is too full. It’s not a fancy corporate store with bright lights. It’s just a place where we drink a lot of tea and fix computers until the sun goes down. Most days are long but seeing a machine turn back on is a good feeling. We keep doing what we know how to do, even if it takes a while sometimes to find the right part for an older model. People rely on their computers so much now, and we see all kinds of problems every day. Usually, we can figure out what is wrong after a bit of poking around.
