S B Amate & Company is based at 1134, Narayan Peth in Pune. If you’re from around here, you know that Narayan Peth is one of the oldest and busiest parts of the city. We are situated quite near the Modi Ganpati, which is a huge landmark. The streets are always narrow and filled with cycles, bikes, and people rushing somewhere. Our building is an old one, typical for this part of Pune, and it has a lot of character. Inside, the office is pretty basic. We don't have fancy glass partitions or expensive carpets. It’s just a series of rooms with old desks and cabinets full of records. It can get a bit noisy with the sounds of the street and the temple bells, but that’s just part of being in Narayan Peth. We’ve worked out of this address for many years now. Most of our day is spent at our desks, drinking tea and going through paperwork. It’s a no-frills kind of place. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day and doing what we do. The parking is a bit of a struggle for anyone visiting, but that’s the price you pay for being in the heart of the old city. It’s a very traditional atmosphere and we feel right at home in this busy corner of Pune.
