We are based out of Flat A-4 in Amrapali Housing Society. Being on Nagar Road means there’s always something happening outside, but inside the society, it’s different. We set up this workspace to handle the technical side of the business. It’s a residential building, so we try to keep the noise down, though the sound of a soldering iron or a testing unit is pretty constant. We’ve been here for a while. The walls are covered with notes and diagrams we’ve drawn over the months. It’s not a place for big meetings. It’s where the actual work happens. Sometimes the lift in the society acts up, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. We get a lot of stuff delivered here, mostly parts and old equipment that needs looking at. Our desks are usually a mess of cables and half-finished projects. We don't really do the whole polished business thing. We just focus on the electronics. People know us in Amrapali. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of inventory, but we manage. Most days we stay late to finish up a job. It’s just the way it works when you’re small. You do what you have to do to keep things moving. It’s a decent life, working with your hands and figuring out puzzles every day in Pune.
