Registers

Our office is at Survey Number 63/4Bm P2 in the Sangamwadi area of Khadaki, Pune. A good landmark to find us is the Jarande Floor Mill, which is right opposite our place. You can usually smell the fresh flour and hear the hum of the machines from the mill all day long. It’s a busy little pocket of Pune 411 003. We call the business Registers, and the work we do here is mostly about keeping things organized and handled for our clients. The building we’re in is an older one, with those heavy metal shutters and a slightly uneven floor. We don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture—just some sturdy wooden tables and a lot of shelving for all our supplies. The traffic on the road outside can be a bit much during rush hour, but inside we just keep our heads down and get through the logs. The light in the office is a bit dim, but we have a few bright tube lights that do the job. Sometimes we step outside to the small shop next door for a soda or some snacks when the afternoon slump hits. It’s a very local way of doing business. We know the other shop owners on the street, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s just a normal, hardworking spot in a part of Pune that doesn't get much attention. We’ve been here for years.
