If you head over to At Post Hindori in Tal Maval, you'll find our brickyard. It’s a beautiful area, but the work we do is anything but pretty. It’s tough, manual labor. We spend most of the year working the clay and getting the shapes right before they go into the fire. The weather in Tal Maval can be a bit unpredictable, so we’re always watching the sky. A sudden rain can ruin a whole batch of bricks that are out drying. That’s happened to us more times than I’d like to admit. It’s a bit of a gamble every season. We have a small crew of local guys who know the routine. We don't really have titles or anything corporate like that. Everyone just knows what needs to be done. One day you’re hauling wood, the next you’re loading a truck. We don't put out advertisements. People just know Rasal Bricks is here in Hindori. We’ve built a lot of the local walls and houses around here over the decades. It’s a steady kind of life. We aren't looking to expand into some massive corporation. We just want to make sure the bricks we produce are good enough to hold up a roof. When the day is over, we’re all pretty tired and covered in grit, but that's just the trade we picked. We take it one load at a time.
