Quadri Decorators

Quadri Decorators is tucked away in Mahajan Gali in Somwar Peth. It’s near the Quresh Masjid on Jan Mohammad Street. The lanes are quite narrow around here, so getting our trucks in and out can be a real struggle sometimes. We’ve been doing decorations for a long time. Our warehouse is full of folded tents, stacked chairs, and bundles of decorative cloth. Most of the work we do is for local weddings and community events in the Camp area. It’s a messy business, honestly. There is always something that needs repairing or washing after an event. When the busy wedding season comes up, we are all working late into the night. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time climbing ladders and hauling heavy stuff around. My cousins and a few local boys help out with the setups. We don’t have a fancy showroom to show people. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us amidst the piles of fabric and poles. We know almost everyone in this neighborhood by now. We’ve seen many families grow up and we’ve decorated for their kids' weddings too. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but it’s what we do. We just make sure the stage is sturdy and the lights actually turn on. We are usually at the shop by eight in the morning every day.
