Priya Bags

We’ve been here in Shukrawar Peth for a long time now. If you know Pune, you know how busy this area gets, especially in the afternoons. Our shop, Priya Bags, is right in the middle of all that hustle. We spend most of our days surrounded by zippers, fabric rolls, and different kinds of straps. It’s not a fancy place, but it works for us. People come in looking for school bags for their kids or something sturdy for travel. Sometimes it’s just a broken handle that needs fixing. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, there’s barely enough room to walk around. The noise from the street is constant, with scooters zooming by and people talking. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, yet some things stay the same. We open up early, sweep the front, and get started with whatever orders are on the desk. It’s honest work. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to reorganize the shelves or just have some tea. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific color or size, we usually have to dig through a few stacks to find it. That’s just how it goes here. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Pune, just a reliable one for the folks nearby who need a decent bag.
