Our office is in Sahakar Nagar in Pune, at number 730. It’s a decent area, mostly quiet compared to the busy center of the city. We’ve been operating from here for a good while. We deal with general supplies and some distribution work. It’s mostly about managing orders and making sure things get where they are supposed to go on time. The office is pretty basic. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that are probably too full, and a phone that rings more than I’d like. My brother and I started this together. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and trying to get better prices so we can stay competitive. It’s not glamorous. A lot of the day is just checking lists and making sure the loading is done correctly. Pune has changed a lot since we opened, but our little corner of Sahakar Nagar feels mostly the same. We have a regular group of customers who have been with us for years. They know they can just drop by and we’ll have a cup of tea while we settle the accounts. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. We just try to be fair and do what we said we would do. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us going and we like the independence of it. We just take things one day at a time and keep our records straight.
