We are located at 1100/1 in Budhwar Peth. The easiest way to find us is to look for the Datta Mandir, as we are right near it. You can hear the temple bells throughout the day. This part of the city is always moving. There are so many people and scooters squeezing through the lanes. Our shop is packed with suitcases and backpacks. We keep the school bags near the front because parents are always coming in for those. The bags are colorful and stacked high. Sometimes we have to use a long stick to reach the ones on the top shelf. We don’t do fancy marketing or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and start our day. People come in to check the wheels on the trolleys. They want to know if the handle is strong enough. We show them the different sizes. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we sit under the fan and wait for the evening crowd. When the festivals come, the street gets even busier. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. Everyone around here knows us. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop, just a reliable place where you can get a bag for your travels. It’s a simple life in a very old part of Pune. We close up once the temple prayers are done and the street starts to quiet down.
