Working out of Flat D/202 in Rishikesh CHS at Sector 34 is mostly quiet, but you still hear the Kamothe traffic if you leave the windows open. This part of Panvel has grown a lot lately, and being in Plot 29-31 means we’re right in the middle of it. Our office is just a regular residential flat we’ve converted into a workspace. It’s got a small kitchen where we make tea about four times a day because the local shops are a bit of a walk. The building itself is decent, though the lift can be slow during the morning rush when everyone is leaving for work. We spend most of our time at our desks, just keeping up with the paperwork and the phone calls that never seem to stop. Sometimes we get distracted by the construction noises outside, since there’s always something being built in Raigarh. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with glass walls or anything like that. Just some desks, computers, and a lot of files stacked up. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors in the society know us by now. Usually, it’s just the three or four of us here, clicking away on keyboards. The afternoon sun hits the balcony pretty hard, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the day. It’s a practical space for what we do, and it gets the job done without any unnecessary drama or flashiness.
