Panel House

We’re located at No. 101 in the New Timber Market area of Bhavani Peth. As you can guess from the name of the market, we deal with panels. Mostly it’s wood and construction materials that come through here. The whole area is filled with the smell of sawdust and the sound of trucks loading and unloading. Our shop is pretty basic. We’ve got stacks of panels leaning against the walls and a small desk where we handle the invoices. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, we’re usually covered in it. We’ve been in Bhavani Peth for quite a long time. We know the other shop owners around here and we help each other out when someone’s short on stock. People come to us when they’re building something new or fixing up an old place. We don’t do any fancy marketing. Usually, someone just tells a friend to head down to the timber market and look for us. We try to be fair with people. If a piece of wood has a knot or a crack, we’ll point it out. It’s better than having someone come back angry later. The days are long and the work is physical, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a truck drive off full of supplies. It’s just how we earn our living here. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to move the heavier sheets, but we just manage it as best as we can.
