Our workshop is out in the Kulwadi Industrial Area in Koregaon Bhima. It's a dusty place because of all the factories around here in Shirur district. We mostly deal with the colour profile sheets that people use for sheds and factory roofs. It's loud. There's usually a lot of noise from the machines cutting the metal. My brother and I started this up because there was a need for local supplies. We don't have a big fancy office. It’s just a small cabin at the front of the shed where we keep the invoices. The trucks come and go all day, picking up orders. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon. This slows things down, but we manage. People know us in the industrial area. We keep a stock of different colors, though blue and green are the most popular ones people ask for. It’s hard work. It gets especially tough in the summer when the metal gets hot to touch. We wear thick gloves for that. Most of our customers are local contractors or farmers building barns. We try to be fair with the prices since everyone around here knows each other. It’s not a glamorous job, but the sheets are solid and they keep the rain out. We’ve been at this spot for a few years now. It’s become like a second home to us and the few guys who help us load the trucks.
